As mysterious as it is essential to the very ethos of South America, the Amazon River has captivated artists, writers, and adventurers with its infinite sensory experiences. Our Amazon textile portrays a vibrant field of interwoven plant formations painted while in the Amazon Rainforest with ink, charcoal, pastels, and chalk. We examined the shapes and colors that caught our eye during one of our many excursions… and created this complex and abstract pattern. In one version, we see butterfly wings dancing with light… in another, the elegant simplicity of Chinese porcelain. Structured into large, mirror-image medallions, Amazon printed velvet is the perfect vehicle for a standout sofa, romantic upholstered headboard, or dramatic wall panels.
